Medical Information Officer
Location: Berkshire
5 month contract

Medical Information Officer required to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Berkshire. This is a 5 month contract and requires candidates who are immediately available or on short notice.

Duties include:

Provide up-to-date product information to external enquiries.
Process potential Adverse Drug Reactions and Technical Complaints in accordance with the appropriate SOP) in order to facilitate compliance with MHRA regs.
Update external product listings (e.g. MIMS, eMC) to ensure that the information available to customers about products is accurate and up to date.
Maintain product information systems and standards.

Requirements:
- Candidates should have worked within a medical affairs/medical information department
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the relevant information sources including: printed publications, unpublished sources and databases
- Demonstrate understanding of the principles of information storage and retrieval, and skill in their application.
- Ability to search a range of relevant information sources
- Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with relevant legal and related issues, such as the Medicines Act and Statutory Instruments; copyright; Data Protection legislation; liability; the ABPI Code of Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of the business, the pharmaceutical industry and the external environment: the NHS, Government policy, regulatory requirements

Excellent hourly rate.
