Outsourcing & Contracts Manager - Germany
Our client, top Global Biopharmaceutical company, is looking for an Outsourcing & Contracts Manager to join their team in Germany.
Responsibilities:
•Support the clinical development teams (Phase I-IV) in all aspects of outsourcing and contracting. •Ensure that contracts are of the highest quality at the lowest possible price with high quality vendors. •Lead clinical study team interactions with vendors, vendor selection and subsequent contract negotiation process. •Ensure that study timelines are met by collaboratively working with the clinical study team to manage external vendors selected for the clinical studies.
Job description:
Lead negotiation of documents for clinical studies including, but not limited to: •Collaborate with clinical study team to determine the scope of project activities to be contracted to vendors and to identify potential vendors best qualified to provide services. •Develop detailed specifications of the project activities, distribute to potential vendors, and manage the selection process in consultation with the clinical study team. •Lead negotiations and management of vendor (including budgets) and scope changes to insure a cost-effective, expeditious and successful solution to outsourcing needs. •Ensure that all vendor contracts appropriately represent the responsibilities of the various parties involved in the clinical study. •Insure that all SOPs are adhered to and federal regulations and GCP guidelines are followed with respect to O&C. •Ensure that vendor performance is regularly assessed and shared with O&C and relevant interfaces during regular debriefings. •Identify business improvement opportunities and participate and/or lead in creating solutions which improve O&C efficiency and effectiveness. •Participate in the development and management of a vendor management program ensuring a collaborative, transparent relationship.
Requirements:
•At least 4 years relevant experience in bidding process and contract management in the pharmaceutical industry. This experience should have been made either on CRO or preferably pharmaceutical company site. Knowledge of the CRO market is required. •Bachelor’s degree required in science, finance, legal, business. Master’s degree in the same concentrations is preferred. A scientific and business background is a plus. •General knowledge of clinical development including, but not limited to: •Good negotiation, facilitation and conflict management skills are essential. •Good leadership skills, networking skills, and communication skills. Confident dealing within a multicultural team setting with external and internal clients and providers, in an environment of rapidly changing priorities. •Strategic and analytical way of thinking. •Excellent time management and organizational skills •Clear and articulate verbal, written and presentation skills with good command of the English language. •Ability to forecast budget projections •Proficiency in the Microsoft office applications
