Head of Automation
Day Rate: 800 – 900 a day

The Head of Automation will have accountability for end-to-end delivery of Automation IT services to businesses and will also be accountable for the development and operations of a defined range of IT products and services provided to Global Businesses/Functions. They will lead individuals, who are primarily within the same IT Function or Global Business/Function and across multiple geographies.

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

The delivery of RPA and WFM supporting activities across the Operations Technology portfolio of work. The leadership, management, development and support of all Ops Tech Automation team resources.
The Automation expertise, advice, guidance to Operations Technology and business leads in support of the Global Operations technology portfolio.
Control over end-to-end Automation IT services that have transitioned to Run alongside the delivery of all change activity.
The availability, resilience, integrity, performance and security of the automation services including supporting applications, platform and infrastructure within and across their remit and the implementation and operation of incident recovery, problem, change, non-functional requirements, performance, capacity, service levels, configuration, assets, resilience, integrity, performance and security.
Maintaining mandatory/regulatory compliance of the IT Services managed by the team.
Managing the end-to-end cost base, balance CLIENT priorities, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction whilst also ensuring Data standards and Data controls.
Influencing decision-making as part of relevant CLIENT Executive decision making bodies. Sets/significantly influences automation technical strategy. Signoff party for the automation components of business service/sub-function strategies.
Creating, managing and maintaining positive relationships with all customer and service consumer groups, driving a working environment of teamwork, collaboration and support to meet mutual goals for the GB/GFs and CLIENT.
Responsible for setting objectives related to delivery for direct reports, in line with HR Guidelines
Responsible for management of DevOps budget and meeting cost targets
Responsible for recruitment of engineering resources within DevOps verticals, in line with HR and Technology guidelines
Responsible for performance management and calibration within the DevOps vertical, in line with Practice and HR Policies and Guidelines
Responsible for pay and reward decisions for resources within DevOps team
Responsible for career development, talent management and succession decisions for resources within DevOps Team
Responsible to deliver in accordance with practice tooling & methods frameworks
Responsible to deliver in accordance with all enterprise standards & controls

Ideal Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:
