Cash Management Assistant 

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working)

Duration: 5 months

Pay rate: 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

• Post bank transactions into the SAP system daily, as well as clear transactions through clearing accounts to account for FX and match payments to payment runs or intercompany transactions

• Maintain entity/regional mailboxes and action any ad hoc queries in respect of cash and cash postings

• Raise manual journals as necessary

• Respond to queries/request from our auditors during interim and year end audit procedures

• Assist in making manual payments out of the bank, in accordance with invoice detail and payment terms

• Perform or support in the weekly cashflow forecasting activities, by where we ensure there are sufficient cash reserves for the upcoming week’s bank activity

• Perform or support in the monthly netting procedures, whereby intercompany receivables and payables are settled on a group basis and appropriate payments, postings and clearances are actioned.

• Perform routine bank reconciliations of both bank and loan accounts, resolving any differences timely

• Perform routine survey reports and submit these to the appropriate authorities, with manager support

• Perform any other reconciliations as required, such as matching bank receipts to anticipated invoice direct debit runs

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field preferable but not necessary.

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting and finance including cash experience 

• Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.
