Clinical Professionals are collaborating with a Biomarker and Pharmacokinetics consultancy who are looking for an experienced Biomarker Scientist to join their established team initially on a 6-month contract. This opportunity with be working with clients specialising in Neuroscience, predominantly Alzheimers and Huntingtons disease. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the biomarker remit, with a background in clinical drug development and project management. Individuals will be responsible for enacting the clinical biomarker strategy, working closely with the biomarker leader.

Job Responsibilities include;

Management of project timelines & delivery of clinical biomarker data as well as status & planning reports
Active management of biomarker-related study activities and reporting by internal and external parties
Full accountability and independent preparation / data analysis / editing / revision of documents for consistency, completeness, and accuracy and ownership for various documents
Represents BM function as responsible clinical biomarker scientist in Study Management and Clinical Project Team meetings providing support to the Biomarker Leader.
Serves as interface between different study associated sub-departments (imaging team, biosample management team, stats, data management, expert bioanalytical functions, CRO, clinical study team)

Candidate Requirements include;

Degree in biological science or the equivalent
Individual must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom
Prior experience in either a pharmaceutical organisation or CRO, within a biomarker or clinical project management role
3-5 years experience in clinical trials, clinical drug development and implementation of biomarkers within trials
Broad understanding of sampling types
Strong organisational skills and demonstrate ability to prioritise activities with strong attention to detail
