With 10,000 staff globally, this pharma client has a presence across the planet and is well known in the healthcare world, particularly outside of Europe. Their team in the UK however is much smaller and we have been working closely with them during the past couple of years to support with commercial and regulatory vacancies in particular.

The opportunity:

National Commercial Account – Perm

*** PLEASE NOTE 2 IMPORTANT FACTORS BEFORE APPLYING at the request of the client;
Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent account management experience including managing wholesale accounts within a healthcare setting.

Candidates should already have existing key relationships with large company accounts such as Bestway Well, Testerworld, Lexon and Sigma and other retail accounts.

Role Objective:
To assess, target and develop retail pharmacy Sales of the products via chosen Logistics Service Provider.
Develop existing business with key Retail and some Wholesale accounts such as Day Lewis, Lexon, Sigma and Waremoss. No short line accounts.
To implement marketing strategies with multiple retail pharmacies
Open and develop new business in key geographical areas and new territory.
Please note any sales experience is preferred as some cold calling will be required

Responsibilities:
Provide input into Commercial and pricing strategy
Influencing customers and clients to adjust purchasing decisions.
Monitoring orders placed by key accounts and maintaining communication channels.
Investigating and resolving queries raised by national accounts
Holding regular meetings with internal stakeholders about key accounts
Building and maintaining relationships with diverse client groups
Negotiating and persuading in order to identify and translate opportunities into sales.
Engage and proactively communicate with the corporate services i.e. finance, marketing and business development.
Analyse own business sales performance (units and profits) and identify gaps and potential risks and create opportunities mitigation plans.
Responsible for planning own time appropriately to maximise business performance.
Use own initiative to understand competitor sales processes and ensure that the business is responding proactively to any potential threats.
Work collaboratively with colleagues sharing market intelligence that may influence other regions.
Responsible for managing resources appropriately i.e. materials, travel costs and other sundries.
To be accountable for the financial performance of the post holders relevant region and or client base.
Credible and confident use of office applications i.e. word, excel and power point.
Undertake local market research with support from the marketing team and also engage with the business development team to identify emerging opportunities.
Autonomous worker responsible for a specific region. Taking delegated responsibility for finance, sales and performance.
At all times, be aware of and work to the requirements of the Companys policies and directions on Health and Safety.

To work in alignment with the conditions of the companys licence to supply pharmaceuticals
To work within the code of conduct as outlined by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry

(IMPORTANT) Position Requirements:
2-3 years experience in Healthcare industry knowledge of key retail and wholesale customers (crucial)
ABPI qualification (ideally)
Candidates should already have existing key relationships with large company accounts mentioned above
Applicants should also have an understanding of opening and developing new business ventures
