Overview
To work across the Pharma Business Unit to develop and deliver the Commercial Operations and Pricing strategy. In addition, the Commercial Marketing Manager will lead and manage channel management, contracts and tenders, channel partner solutions and lifecycle management (divestments and pruning) for assigned Brands that optimises our financial return from the General Medicines promoted and non-promoted portfolios.

Responsibilities

Biomarker Strategy and Technology:
– Maintain a detailed understanding of the Business / Franchise Brand strategy and identify commercial opportunities (pricing, promotions, and channel solutions) that can support the business plan
– Own and lead the development of an aligned Commercial Operations brand plan / strategy for assigned Brands
– To offer leadership and guidance to the business in how to structure our Commercial offerings and navigate complex customers who cross multiple geo-graphic boundaries
– Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the Department of Health / NHS England Pricing and Procurement process (ie. NHSE Commercial Directorate, CMU, PASLU, NP Scotland, PASAG) to enable fast implementation of all approved pricing initiatives (including Patient Access Schemes, Commercial Pricing and Managed Entry Agreements)
– Ensure the appropriate submission of products on contracts and tenders (regional and national) working with the Commercial Contracts Executive
– Ensure that company Pricing solutions meet Competition Law and ABPI requirements and that we implement all price changes in line with SOPs (i.e. TOR, and Price Pro)
– Lead the organizations strategic relationship and commercial understanding of our channels of distribution: NHS hospitals, Private (Hospitals and self-pay), Dispensing Doctors, Wholesale, Retail, Homecare and AQPs (Any Qualified Provider)
– This will involve supporting colleagues in the field and attendance at external key strategic meetings Develop and implement customer and patient solutions with our Channel Partners that add value to our Brand proposition (i.e. compliance / adherence, capacity and patient support solutions)
– Ensure Hospital Commercial Account Managers (HCAMs) are fully briefed on all brand commercial strategy, with guidance and tools for communication and tools to implement commercial offerings within the hospital and homecare channel
– The Commercial Marketing Manager will be the key go to person to ensure the effective launch of products, switch over of presentations/packs and to support the end of life strategy through liaison with the Brand and Supply chain

Skills / Requirements

– Degree in Business, Finance or Science (HCP qualification would be highly desirable) or, business qualification
– Several years pharmaceutical industry experience essential
– Pharmaceutical industry experience should include strategic and operational brand management experience across different therapy areas or products; customer facing/sales experience and cross functional working
– Understanding of the structure of the NHS, including procurement, tendering and funding flows in England and the devolved countries of the UK also essential
– Understanding of finance, legal and channel management also an advantage
