Director of Pharmacovigilance (Leadership role) – UK Affiliate

Clinical Professionals have partnered with a global, ‘Top 10’ pharmaceutical business who are wanting to bring on a board an experienced and well-versed Senior Leader within Pharmacovigilance. This position is an integral hire for the business and they looking for someone dynamic and experienced enough to lead and drive the function.

This role will line manage a large team of varying abilities, so line management and leadership experience is essential. Our client is wanting to hire somebody with both the experience and the personality to lead a team and grow the individuals within it. A great time to join this business and team you will be shaping the implentation of Brexit related updates and will also have the potential to take up the role of UK QPPV. You will show passion and drive in coaching and mentoring others.

Responsiblities and Experience :

* Management of Individual Case Safety Report
* Local Signal Detection for local products
*Oversight of PV Medical Compliance Risk Management Plan Implementation
*Acts as a point of contact for local Health Authorities and ensures communication of relevant safety information to external key stakeholders
*Provides QPPV office with all relevant information to allow their oversight and follow up on requests from the QPPV office as applicable
*Management of Aggregate Reports
*Maintains oversight of submission of PSURs/PBRERs and DSURs/SSRs (as applicable) to local regulatory authorities in accordance with Roche policies and procedures, global and local regulatory requirements.

Management of the Local Safety Unit
*Leads a team of motivated individuals and promotes PV standards across the local organisation
*Ensures an adequate level of PV expertise and provides training and development opportunities
*Ensures PV activities are properly resourced and escalates issues when required.
*Plans proper headcount to ensure adequate resourcing and business continuity.
