Cpl Physicians are supporting a leading global biotechnology company that specialises in treating various serious diseases. With nine FDA approved treatments and numerous products in development the company are looking to add two Global Safety Leads to the team. One for Oncology / Hematology and the other for Infectious Diseases. Both portfolios are extensive and consist of several new product developments and indications.
As the Global Safety Lead, you will line manage a medium sized safety team and will be responsible for both the strategy and operations of the division, providing close input with the senior leadership team. Responsible for ensuring the safety of an exciting R&D pipeline, this role will serve as the primary point of contact for business lines outside the department. Long term team building plans are in place to continue growing the division under your leadership.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for providing leadership and mentorship to a medium sized global safety team with direct management of both Physicians & Scientists
Act as the lead physician, accountable for all drug safety deliverables for either the Oncology/Hematology or Infectious Disease portfolios
Oversight of all global pharmacovigilance activities including ICSRs, Aggregate reports, RMPs, REMS, NDAs and more
Strategic input for the planning and management of therapeutic operational and safety science activities
Work closely with the leadership team to identify areas for growth within the global patient safety organization
Requirements:
MD Degree
Prior experience in either Oncology/Hematology or Infectious Diseases is required
Extensive background in Pharmacovigilance / Global Patient Safety
10+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
People management experience background in managing physicians & scientists
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
