Our client an award-winning and innovative contractor providing project solutions for the water and wastewater industry including design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance.

As part of the 2.8 billion, Mota-Engil Group, the company has continued on its growth strategy within the UK Water Sector and now boasts projects and long-term framework agreements with key Water Companies like Yorkshire Water, Affinity Water and Thames Water.

With strategies in place to deliver their current backlog to an exceptional standard and further grow the business in the UK, our client is seeking to appoint a HSQE Advisor

Main Responsibilities

Continuous promotion of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards on projects;

HSQE Project and documentation support including Preliminary and Construction Stage Safety and Health Plans;

Ensure compliance with current Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and maintain awareness of legislative changes and industry standards;

Obtaining and reviewing safety documentation from Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors

Preparation of Tender and Pre-qualification documents for future work;

Carrying out Site Inspections and generating reports; Liaising with Clients;

Assist the site team in the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and associated documentation and records;

Preparation and delivery of site tool box talks;

Daily/weekly reporting to the HSQE Manager and project management staff;

Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes;

Provide HSQE advice and direction to staff and contractors, liaising with Site Personnel; Compilation of Safety Files and O&M Manuals.

Requirements

Hold a recognised HSQE qualification;

Minimum of 3 years HSQE experience;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills;

Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office;

Full, clean driving license.
