*An opportunity has risen for an experienced IT Application Analyst to join a Global Manufacturing firm based in Hertfordshire*
A global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced IT Application Specialist to join their IT Team.
Upon joining, you will be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of local IT Application Systems and IT Projects. The role includes analysis activities, development management activities, support activities and the preparation of Project documentation according to the objectives agreed with your manager and in partnership with all the stakeholders involved.
As an IT Application Specialist , you will be expected to; collaborate in the implementation and roll out of projects for the area of competence to ensure they are performed on time and on budget, in line with business requirements and Company standards; Ensure the management of the lifecycle of business applications of competence (configuration, development, maintenance) to continuously improve the support to business operations; define functional and technical documentation for the applications under the area of competence to ensure compliance and alignment with Company and Quality standards; and coordination of consultants and external suppliers.
In terms of skills and equipment used:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
· Experience in using relational databases with a focus on Microsoft SQL and the use of SQL for writing complex queries.
· Previous functional experience in IT project management and software implementation.
· Analytically minded and methodical problem solver.
· Excellent customer service, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
· Willing to work within a multi-cultural environment.
· Previous experience in pharmaceutical sector and/or previous experience on IT systems for quality and production process management will be considered a plus.
· Knowledge of GxP and Computer System Validation, will be considered a plus.
