Clinical Professionals are currently supporting a global pharmaceutical company in the source for their Medical Affairs Manager. This senior role will be working closely with the Medical Director acting as the deputy on their behalf. With oversight of several therapeutic areas including Oncology & Immunology this individual will be responsible for managing a medium sized Medical Affairs team will the likelihood of growing the team next year. Working autonomously on a large portfolio this is a great opportunity to further your management experience or pick up management for the first time.

Responsibilities will include:
• Line management of the Medical Affairs team consisting of Medical Advisor’s & Scientific Advisors
• Work closely with the Medical Director, providing leadership in their absence
• Review and approval of promotional material to ensure compliant with the codes of practise
• Develop the Medical Affairs team, formulating a plan for the Medical business over the next 12-18 months
• Provide Medical input into the marketing and sales teams
• Act as the Medical Lead on specific therapy areas leading the design of therapeutic plans
• Management / Medical Support for all products in the portfolio
• Work cross functionally with the wider business to help produce materials where required

Requirements:
• UK Registered Pharmacist
• Prior Medical Affairs experience essential
• ABPI Final Signatory
• Previous line management / matrix management preferred but not essential
