Medical Editor Medical communications


Our client is an independently owned medical communications agency, specialising in medical education. Due to continued company growth, theyre currently seeking a number of Medical Editors, Assistant Editors and Editorial Assistants to join their team.

The core role of the Medical Editor involves compliance management of a range of materials, including (but not limited to) slides, meeting materials and speaker briefs. You will act as a key point of contact for accounts and will also liaise directly with clients.

In addition to this, the Editor will also be expected to:

Provide mentoring and leadership for Editorial Assistants and Associate Editors within the team.

Ensure that materials are produced to the highest quality through proofreading, checking and quality control.

Work to agreed timelines and deliver compliant materials that adhere to internal, client and wider industry standards.

Regularly review materials as well as the Editorial Assistants/Associate Editors work to ensure that project specifications are being met.

All applicants applying to this role must be able to demonstrate:

Medical editing experience ideally from a medcomms agency environment, with experience of editing a variety of materials

A strong knowledge/experience of the pharmaceutical industry and the ABPI Code of Practice.

The ability to mentor and support more junior colleagues.

Experience within a client-facing role.
