Our client is currently looking to recruit a Packaging Sustainability Manager, Sustainability for packaging is our clients number one priority at this time and the Packaging Sustainability Managers Major tasks and responsibilities include:
Own & drive the global strategy and implementation of emerging packaging technology platforms into category pipelines within BCH.
Define sustainability strategy per key pack format and/or brand/category.
Identify enabling packaging technology platforms (primary & secondary) to help organization meet declared sustainability commitments and/or deliver remarkable consumer experiences.
Identify & assess enabling technologies to meet brand & formulation requirements, de-risk for pipeline implementation and scale across brands.
Drive public awareness of BCH commitment to partnerships & emerging packaging technology via coalitions, institutions, and trade media.
Establish new and maintain existing key external partnerships (in collaboration with Procurement) to effectively foster sustainable growth and ability to contribute to and influence technology pipeline.
Partner with the D&P leadership team and relevant cross functional team members to ensure holistic approach and understanding of project needs and adherence to requirements.
Develop, propose and drive execution of packaging sustainability roadmaps encompassing strategy, risk assessment, validation plans, IP, and implementation.
Provide packaging subject matter expertise to Formulation Development, GMP Operations and Clinical Supply needs as well as Technical Registration documentation requirements.
Indirect responsibility for developing others through technical coaching and guidance.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Packaging Engineering (or related field)
Bachelors Degree (or equivalent.) with extensive experience, Masters Degree (or equivalent.) with significant experience.
A proven track record in managing new to category packaging technologies, including the creation, development and delivery of ownable structural and functional consumer impactful packaging innovations, resulting in notable commercial impact and sustainability benefit. Consumer healthcare experience preferred.
