Postdoctoral Scientist Material Characterisation

23 month contract

18 22.48 per hour

Cpl Life Sciences are partnering with one of the top Pharma companies who are recruiting for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Material Characterisation team. The main purpose of this role is to develop 3D chemical imaging approaches and modelling methods for the investigation of pharmaceutical products. This role will involve vibration spectroscopy techniques (Raman, FTIR, NIR) so experience is essential.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Drive the project forward to visualise and quantify the microstructure of tablets
  • Be responsible for conducting innovative research to develop the Raman Chemical Imaging and Infrared Quantum Cascade Laser Imaging
  • Use multivariate methods to aid the understanding of materials in the formulations and enable prediction of physical characterisations
  • Conduct research using vibrational spectroscopic imaging to study pharmaceutical products
  • Design experiments to collect 3D hyperspectral imaging data on pharmaceutical tablets and solid dosage forms

Experience;

  • PHD in Pharmaceutical Science, chemistry, material science or chemical engineering
  • Vibrational spectroscopy and hyperspectral imaging
  • Experience using multivariate data analysis methods
