Are you a healthcare communications professional currently working agency-side and looking to transition into an in-house role, or are already in-house and seeking a new challenge?
Do you hold strong PR and media relations experience?
Were currently working with an Oxford-based biotechnology company who are currently looking to recruit a Press Officer to join them on a permanent basis.
The company are a Global organisation with offices in the US, Asia, Europe and the UK and the Press Officer role will be responsible for:
Generating and managing media coverage (both proactive & reactive).
Responding to incoming media inquiries and building & managing relationships with Journalists.
Providing material/stories for different channels including online, print and digital channels (radio, podcasts).
Managing spokespeople and any media filming requests.
Any applicants for this role must be able to demonstrate a strong scientific background, with at least a Bachelors degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant Life Sciences subject.
Other key requirements include:
A minimum of 2 years of Communications experience, gained from the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical Device).
Strong PR/media relations experience with the ability to liaise with Journalists.
The ability to management proactive and reactive communications, as well as crisis communications.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, preferably with agency experience too.
