Our client is a leading Global Medical Device Company and we are seeking a an ambitious Principal Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Specialist covering UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for developing the HEOR strategies for a number of prioritised therapies by generating, synthesising and leveraging secondary data assets to meet evidence needs.
You will be the expert in functional operations related to leveraging secondary data assets through activities such as, but not limited to:
Developing and implementing local strategic HEOR plans and activities. Obtaining HEOR insights to maximize opportunities for gaining and maintaining optimal market access.
Lead on HTA submissions for specific therapies as required.
Systematic evidence review of therapies to establish evidence gaps and needs; especially in relation to HTA submissions.
Facilitate the successful introduction & commissioning of new and existing technologies into the UK & Ireland Healthcare Markets
Plan and execute the creation, collection and utilization of real-world evidence according to therapy specific needs.
Source relevant data points required for health economic outcome and linked models to support future evidence-based economic value messages.
Develop localised tools & models, incorporating clinical data and economic models/analyses, to support business units in their engagements with customers
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of UKI secondary data assets, with a particular focus on opportunities to develop & access linked databases c/o real-world registries or similar external data assets.
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience
Advanced degree in health policy, health services research, health economics, epidemiology or related field of study
5 years + of experience in health policy, health services research, health economics, epidemiology,
Experience with health care data asset management including data uses rules, permissions, privacy and compliance.
Demonstrated expertise working with Medicare claim and enrollment data and other health care claims, administrative, or patient discharge data
Strong quantitative skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively manage complex and data-driven projects and processes with multiple workstreams in a highly matrixed organization resulting in the highest business impact
Basic proficiency in SAS programming
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
