Cpl are working with a global organisation within the pharma/biotech space. They’re currently on the look out for two Product Sales Specialists to join. The Product Sales Specialist will provide field technical support for Cell Biology and Transfection product groups. Is a key contributor in driving large projects together with team members and growth opportunities towards a multi-K Euro business Develop new processes and tools to support the commercial teams, and drive the continuous improvement of the status quo.

Gathers and communicates information on market trends and applications, as well as competitive activities. Works in conjunction with Field and Inside Sales in Discovery and CGT Segments to support the acquisition and expansion of median and high value opportunities and accounts.

Manages large Cell Biology and Transfection of low and median opportunity volume accounts within their territory and beyond their local area of responsibility.

This is a fully remote role and only candidates within the EU will be considered. 

Key responsibilities:

-Provides high level technical and application support for Cell Biology and Transfection products.  

-Develops value propositions benefitting of our target customer’s needs.

-Supports the Strategic Accounts and Business Development team in the solution proposal and adoption stages of the sales process.  

-Understands the customer’s specific application and needs to propose the best solution in a customer facing consultative manner

-Understands the customer’s position in the discovery/research workflow and supports the Strategic Accounts and Business Development team in expanding business within current accounts by identifying cross-selling and next-sale opportunities. This includes the positioning of readily available catalogue products as well as custom manufactured cell and media products

-Owns the end-to-end planning and implementation of strategic cross-functional projects, while managing and developing relationships with different stakeholders across departments and countries

-Leads and drives the identification of customer and market needs using data, research, and customer relationships. 

-Manages interactions proactively to drive customer satisfaction. 

-Communicates regularly with peers/team members about customer topics to drive awareness and build capability. 

-Working with internal and external stakeholders from different functions & business groups across countries to drive the business

-Supports prospecting of new customers and accounts by identifying new median and high value opportunities in the territory and beyond

-Train junior members of the international Business Development team

-Manages T&E budget, telephone and consumables budgets.  

-Submits Expenses reports on a monthly basis.

-Possess the ability to work autonomously from a home-based office as well as contribute to overall team performance.


What we need you to have:

-MSc or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or other disciplines in the drug discovery industry

-Passion for science with the ability to quickly understand new scientific topics and present them in a simple way

-Strong communication and solution-oriented skills are essential, as is a prerequisite for consultative selling and to work as part of a team

-Previous experience/understanding in cell culture and assay setup

-Understanding of the drug discovery/development process in Pharma and Biotech of advantage

-Hands on Industry experience within a Business Development environment of advantage

-Fluency in English a must, a second European language would be preferable.
