The role
A multinational pharmaceutical corporation are looking to hire a senior brand manager to work in Surrey as part of their consumer health care division on a 3 months maternity cover.

As a senior brand manager, you will be responsible for growing the companys portfolio brands, through developing strong consumer focused strategies and plans for the business. One of the brand portfolios you will be responsible for managing is Analgesic within the 385m UK category.
My client is looking for creative thinkers who have a strong background in strategic planning, with an open with an open and challenging approach to breaking barriers and creating engaging plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Create and communicate the vision for your brand(s) throughout the business
Build and implement 3-year brand strategies as well as annual plans for your portfolio
Manage the brand(s) P&L to deliver against financial targets and maximise ROI
Own the campaign planning, development and evaluation across all elements of the marketing mix (ATL, BTL)
Proactively review and adjust portfolio strategy and investment plans to maximise business delivery
Lead cross functional project teams and collaborate closely with Sales and Sales Strategy to ensure brand(s) meet customer needs and that sales and marketing plans are fully aligned
Attend retailer meetings to present brand strategy and plans
Manage the corporate relationship with key agency partners, especially media and creative agencies, to maximise plans and value for money
Where managing direct report(s); coach and develop your people to deliver on set objectives Performance Measures
Consumer sales growth and market share targets met
Annual net sales and profit budgets met
Execute agreed brand plans to time and budget
NPD (brand extensions) launched on time and meet financial objectives
Personal growth and development against company values Organisational

Relationships
Reports to UK Marketing Director
Internal Interactions: wider UK and Cluster Marketing teams, wider UK Commercial teams including Sales and Sales Strategy, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, Finance, Commercial Operations and

UK Leadership Team

Regional Commercial Operations team in EMEA and Global
External relationships include Brand Agencies and UK Regulatory bodies (PAGB) Resources Managed
Current direct Reports: x1 Assistant Brand Manager

Qualifications & Experience

Extensive B2C brand marketing experience within an FMCG or OTC environment
Track record of developing winning plans across all elements of the consumer marketing mix
Full understanding of the UK media landscape and extensive experience of creating and executing full 360 media and touchpoint campaigns
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage the delivery of the brand P&L
Excellent team and cross functional leader, line management experience a bonus
Strong influencing skills with an ability to interact effectively in a global environment
Very good understanding of the UK retail trade & UK Consumer/Shopper trends & dynamics
Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy – only very minimal review required ahead of big meetings/presentations
University degree or equivalent

Technical skills required

Highly P&L literate
Ability to coordinate complex and interrelated projects
Strong sense of urgency and desire to achieve objectives
High level of IT literacy in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Experienced user of AC Nielsen and Kantar shopper data
Experienced understanding of retailer EPOS and Shopper demographic panels
