Senior Manager Tax Transformation Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Tax Transformation Professional to join a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company.

The Tax Transformation Senior Manager will be responsible for working with Group Tax to deliver the Tax Transformation vision through a programme of tax projects focusing in data, systems and process improvement.

Specifically focusing on defining tax requirements, assessing fit gap to existing data, systems and processes, defining and executing a roadmap of remediation work to achieve the tax vision. The job will require ability to manage complex projects, manage stakeholders across the business from IT, Business and Tax, manage, input and perform project activities around process mapping, root cause analysis, working with internal and external teams to address issues identified, as well as assisting with the testing, training and deployment of improvements to coding, data validation and the compliance process.

Location: Remote work with 1-2 days in the Luton office

Pay rate: Up to 700 per day LTD (Out of scope)

Duration: 12 months

Role Summary:

Manage a Programme of tax work covering data, systems (particularly SAP) and process.

Manage key stakeholders relevant for the tax programmes from Tax, Business, Finance & IT.

Deliver the Project vision as defined and develop a realization approach ensuring technical solutions fit with the Architecture roadmaps and blueprints

Work closely with the Finance Strategy programme (SAP S/4 HANA upgrade programme) to understand the impact for tax on the existing tax transformation portfolio of work and influence the requirements and approach.

Work with Group Tax stakeholders to review business processes, and assess system configuration and coding

Grasping all requirements, influencing and recognising design decisions

Document to-be process outcomes in the format of a process map and SOP

Develop test scenarios, scripts and manage the testing phase

Prepare Change Impact Assessment (CIA)

Prepare training materials and ensure successful transition of the to-be process to the business

Essential skills and experience

Excellent experience of Tax systems (particularly SAP), data and processes

Experience of what an S/4 HANA upgrade means for tax (including CFIN).

Proven skills and experience managing and controlling large project and programme budgets

Hands on experience of working in Tax environment

Experience shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organisation.

48+ months of proven relevant tax transformation experience

Excellent communication skills, including listening, with ability to adapt personal style to suit the audience

Good presentation skills, including ability to summarise key messages

Able to work as part of a team, encouraging and motivating others to enable the best outcome

Analytical and problem solving skills

Proactive and able to adapt to changing circumstances and events

Desirable skills and experience

Project / Programme Management certifications

Experience working in a global organization where stakeholders and project team members are geographically dispersed.

Agile, Lean & Six Sigma Skills

Excellent leadership skills interacting with senior leaders
