Senior PMO Project Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior PMO Project Analyst to join a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company.

Flexibly working directly with the PMO Lead or directly with a Project Manager, supporting the Programme or a project, you will support creating, defining, improving and carrying out the central PMO processes to ensure the strategic and operational goals of the Programme/projects are delivered.

Location: Luton Hybrid role 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.

Pay rate: 350 per day outside IR35

Hours: 40 hours per week

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Typical Accountabilities:

o Utilises and develops PMO tools to coordinate preparation of internal and external reports through gathering, analysing and summarizing data and information from the project teams and ensuring escalation where needed

o Runs key PMO processes reporting, risks and issues, planning, governance, deliverables and approvals, change management and resourcing and pro-actively looks for continuous improvements

o Trains project managers on PMO tools and methodology and ensures consistent adherence

o Collates and develops and manages execution of consolidated project plans in MSP/Excel and PPT for projects or programmes, including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality and ensures tracking of the project delivering on time and on budget

o Owns key PMO assets and holds accountability for regular updates

o Manages own smaller improvement projects

o Assists in the initiation, coordination and analysis of resource allocation, financial controls and documentation preparation

o Effectively manages changes to project/programme scopes, cost and timeline

o Develops and creates PMO management reports and key performance parameters

o Assists with the preparation of a variety of reports covering budget status, forecast reports and other management reports

o Supports the onboarding and off-boarding process of employees into the team

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


o Five years+ experience in a project environment

o Two years + experience of working in PMO in a complex >$100m finance transformation programme

o Finance as a function experience (e.g. understanding finance process towers, management and statutory accounting etc)

o Finance and/or Business Degree

o Advanced Excel (managing complex multi tab formula driven spreadsheets, experience of =index/match formulas, macros etc), Power BI, PPT, MSP and Sharepoint skills.


o Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context

o Appropriate project qualifications

o Accounting/Finance qualifications
