Clinical Professionals 2018 Easter Eggstravaganza for Bloodwise Charity
We are proud to announce that we have raised over £190 for our chosen charity Bloodwise!
To aid fund raising activity Clinical Professionals held charity bake sales in the London and Reading office, where employees dedicated their time and effort to create some amazing and delectable baked good to entice donations.
All team members took part in various activities such as an egg decorating competition, casual dress down for all staff, and creating some delicious homemade cakes for the bake sale. The day then finished off with handing out the prizes from the Easter egg hunt around the office.

Bloodwise, formerly known as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, is one of the UK’s top charities for funding and supporting blood cancer research. It was originally set up back in 1960 by the Eastwood family after they lost their 6 year old daughter to leukaemia.
Blood cancer is a term that is used to describe various types of cancers that affect blood, bone marrow or the lymphatic system, it includes three main types; leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. In most blood cancers, affected blood cells stop developing normally and become cancerous, leading to too much and not enough of the original type of cell. This leads to various complications such as fighting off infections.
Blood cancer is a type of cancer that attacks blood, bone marrow or the lympathic system within the body. It is commonly categorised as three main types; lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
The cancerous blood cells arise when healthy blood cells stop developing normally, leading to too much or a lack of the original type of cell which can cause health issues when fighting off infections.
Approximately 38,000 people every year are diagnosed with blood cancer in the UK.
