Clinical Professionals Attends Silver Line Afternoon Tea

Silverline_2015In December 2014 Clinical Professionals Group made The Silverline their corporate charity. Yesterday Natalie and Neil from Clinical Professionals visited the Athenaeum Hotel in Mayfair to represent the company at the Silver Afternoon Tea event, hosted by Esther Rantzen  Founder of The Silver Line.

The event featured a small gathering of companies who elected The Silver Line as their charity of the year, as well as a few partners and members of the press.

Natalie commented “It was a great chance to meet members of staff from The Silver Line and other volunteers too. The event made us both proud to be involved with such a remarkable charity that makes a real difference.”

Esther spoke passionately about the history of The Silver Line and read a few letters written by some of the elderly people whose lives have been greatly improved by receiving the simple 30 minute call each week that the charity’s volunteers provide. She then went on to discuss potential plans for the future, from which it was clear that there are unlimited possibilities for the charity, there was even talk about Silver Line Dating!
After the extensive afternoon tea, served up with a delicious variety of cakes and champagne was the raffle, unfortunately neither Natalie or Neil (who had his heart set on the model railway) won. Despite this it was a truly lovely afternoon in dedication to a cause that many at Clinical Professionals feel strongly about.

The Silver Line charity offer information, guidance and friendship to older people within the UK. Helping elderly individuals to combat the widespread problem of loneliness that many experience.

Clinical Professionals has held a few fund raising event so far this year ranging from skydives, to bake sales, to games days. Undoubtedly there will be many more on the horizon, but in the meantime several members of company donate their spare time to The Silver Line to make calls.
