Clinical Professionals Group Raise over £400 for the Brain Tumour Charity
The Clinical Professionals Group have raised over £400 for the Brain Tumour Charity, through a cake sales week and a commonwealth sports themed fundraising day.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK’s largest dedicated brain tumour charity, funding research and supporting those affected by brain tumours.
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, with over 9,100 people being diagnosed yearly. Currently only 14% of adults survive for five years after their brain tumour diagnosis.
The charity was suggested by Aman, who works within Regulatory Professionals, part of The Clinical Professionals Group, due to his close personal interest in the charity.
The commonwealth sports themed day’s fundraising event involved employees donating a minimum of £1 to dress in their assigned commonwealth team’s colours or sportswear for the day or being fined £2 if they didn’t.
Throughout the day employees competed in teams against each other to be the top performing team of the day, including competing in a range of sporting races, such as a sack race, egg and spoon race and three legged race. Cakes were also made and sold for between 50p and £1 each, members of Clinical Professionals’ team made personal donations, and one employee agreed to be waxed to help raise extra money.
The Clinical Professionals Group has also confirmed that the company will match all funds raised from the sports themed day.
The Clinical Professionals Group, are Europe’s leading independent life sciences staffing company, and regularly run charity days to help raise money for local and national charities.
Yvette Cleland, The Clinical Professionals Group’s CEO, commented: “I am very lucky to work with some of the most motivated and driven people in professional staffing, the internal teams regularly fund raise as they want to constantly give back to the communities and charities close to their hearts.
