Clinical Professionals Launch Alzheimer’s Research Charity Partnership!
After the previous success of our corporate charity partnership with Bloodwise last year, raising over £7,000, we are delighted to announce the official launch of our new partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK).
ARUK was nominated to be our charity of choice after a company vote to select our 2019/20 charity of choice. All the charities we voted for had a special meaning to many of us within the business and directly contributed to the treatment and assistance of diseases and conditions we really cared about. We hope to replicate the success of our previous charity fundraising, by setting a target of £5,000.
The CP Group timed the launch to take place the Friday before International Alzheimer’s Day, which highlights the impact and effects the disease has on patients and their families whilst helping to provide support.
Due to the recent success of the ARUK “Share the Orange” campaign, we used “orange” as a theme for the day which involved employees being required to wear this wonderful colour. We also organised various competitions and activities such as decorate an orange and sporting games such as golf and tug of war for winners to be awarded orange themed prizes.
Throughout the day’s activities and donations, we raised over £150, which is a fantastic start to the partnership!
More importantly we were able to motivate employees and build upon awareness of Alzheimer’s, by the end of the day all employees could explain how an orange relates to the disease. Which for those unaware, damage to a brain with Alzheimer’s can leave it weighing 140g, the same weight as an orange.

We look forward to hosting many more charity events and sporting events to raise money throughout the rest of this year and the next. We already have a 10K run lined up for next year, and hopefully a skydive!
