GCI Health Launches New London Office

GCI Health, a WPP-owned healthcare communications agency, have announced the opening of their first office in London, UK.

The new business in London will aim to build further on GCI Health’s client base across four primary service areas: life sciences, consumer health, market access communications and strategic consulting.

The launch of the new office by GCI Health is in response to their growing European client base.

The new business will be led by Rikki Jones, who was previously a director at fellow WPP agency Cohn & Wolfe, and associate director Louise Veale, who has also moved to the position from within WPP.

Commenting on the launch, Rikki Jones noted that the company “couldn’t be more thrilled with the market’s response to date and are looking forward to continued London-based success, in partnership with the rest of GCI Health’s global management team.”

GCI Health currently employ over 140 people across the US, Canada and Europe.  The organisation has previously worked with European clients from their US headquarters, but has noted that the time is now right for GCI Health to establish a European base.

“We had been successfully servicing global business, but as the international healthcare market continues to evolve, the time was right to find European based leaders with the passion and experience to take our business expansion to the next level,” confirmed Wendy Lund, GCI Health’s chief executive.
